THE BEANIE
***
The concept of the idea came to life in November last year. I had doodled the design in my journal, looked at it for a really long time, and thought—yeah, that would go crazy on a skull cap beanie.
I thought I could just cook up a tech pack really quick, send it to a manufacturer, and have some beanies ready by January/February during peak ski/snow season. I was wrong. It was a patient process. But in retrospect, I'm glad I took my time.
I trialed several manufacturers, thread types, embroidery sizes, and color samples before arriving at the final product. I'm extremely pleased. The design, colors, material, and fit are perfect.
What I like most is the fit. It's a thin, stretchy material, so it feels really light. It's timeless, and I intended for that. You can wear it whenever.
Sure, it pairs well with a baggy snowboard fit, but it also looks sick with a bikini top and flip flops. Sweatpants and hoodie? Beanie. Kitten heels with socks? Beanie. Suit and tie? Beanie. That's what's so beautiful about self-expression. At the end of the day, you decide how you want to style it. Your life is yours.
